Autumn Equinox blessings of the Sacred Marriage between the Dark (Black Mother Earth Goddess) and the Light (Son-Sun God) on September 22 in 2020 = 44.
Photos taken at the last sunset yesterday before today’s Autumn Equinox from my favourite Beacon Hill in the Avalonian tenemos – Dundon Hill, sacred to the Celtic Earth Goddess Don (Irish Danu) whose Children as powers of Light were met by the Children of Llyr, the powers of Darkness.
On my Philosophia Wheel of the Year, we honour the element of Earth, and therefore the Black Earth Goddess, in the West as we spend these next 5-6 weeks in preparation for the Descent into the dark tomb-womb of Samhain at the Full Moon.
In the Proto-Indo-European mythology, the Earth Goddess was Degom who was united with Dyēus, the daylight Sky of the Gods.
This pairing of the feminine, dark Earth with the masculine, light Sun flows down through the millennia of the Rose Lineage, as shown in the Cult of Cybele and Attis, until it arrives in the Sacred Marriage of Magdalene and Yeshua.
This is why I hold my Magdalene Workshop in my Avalon Rose Priestess Training in September as close to the Autumn Equinox as possible, and this year our webinar actually falls today on the Autumn Equinox on the 22nd (Magdalene’s sacred number) of September.
It’s also occurring this year during the Second Gate of Descent in the Venus Cycle (Third Eye Chakra) when we work with the Amygdala – the portal into the Feminine Third Eye, deep in our reptilian brain – which shares the same etymological root as Magdalene, the Sumerian ‘mug-dalla’ meaning ‘shining vulva gateway’.
So this Autumn Equinox, we have a powerful opportunity to work with the Sacred Marriage of dark and light, with Magdalene and Yeshua, with our Lover Self, with the union of our Brow Chakra (masculine Third Eye) and Amygdala (feminine Third Eye) to bring about balance in our psyche, our body, our lives and our relationships.
