Hecate's Womb of Sacred Loss

A pre-recorded experiential immersion into The Healing Womb, with guided journeys, ritual, prayer and song

Available on Mon 2-3:30pm as a Fringe Event or throughout the ONLINE Glastonbury Goddess Conference (Thurs-Sun) as the Sanctuary for Sacred Loss

Join Annabel Du Boulay to journey into Hecate’s Womb of Sacred Loss and honour all that has been returned to Mother Earth, to grieve for all that has been lost, to receive healing for all those shadow places of suffering, and to find the light of hope deep within Her dark tomb-womb of death and rebirth.

Hecate, Mother of Earth, Mother of Loss, was the first in the cycle of four paintings that formed The Healing Womb art installation, which Annabel Du Boulay created for the Goddess Conference 2012, inspired by her experience of mothering three children, two of whom were born with life-threatening syndromes and multiple disabilities, who she has nursed through 19 operations. During the many months Annabel lived on neonatal intensive care and paediatric surgical wards, she became aware of the depth of women’s suffering and untold stories.

Annabel created The Healing Womb as a sacred space in which women could gather to share their stories in relation to child loss, childlessness, the challenges of mothering special needs children, pregnancy termination and mothering in general.

For this year’s Goddess Conference, Annabel is creating a special online experiential immersion into The Healing Womb, with guided journeys, ritual, prayer and song, which will be available to enter into throughout the Conference as a place of refuge and healing – the Sanctuary for Sacred Loss.
