FamilyTimeat TheHebrides
So blessed to have returned on pilgrimage to the Hebrides – the Isles of the Holy Bride.
This time guiding my beloved parents, now in their eighties, back home to the Isles of their ancestors, fulfilling their life-long dream and raising their spirits, which have been knocked during lockdown, like many elderly people.
Both of our family names from my motherline and my fatherline are names of Clan Donald, whose spiritual home we have just visited on the Isle of Skye.
And my daughters are also both Campbells courtesy of their father, which is slightly awkward as Clan Donald and Clan Campbell were arch enemies!
The sublime mountains and breath-taking views on Skye never cease to amaze me every time I come here.
There is an otherworldliness about this ancient Isle that brings you closer to the Divine, a deep sense of spirituality that weaves its way through the land, fairy glens, lochs, sea and skies.
The timelessness and infinite vastness of the mountains raises your Soul above the mundane until it flies like the eagle, forgetting all earthly concerns.
Here, my feet dance to the vibration of my bloodlines running through these ancient Isles, whilst the souls of my ancestors whisper to me on the wind.
With my love and blessings from Skye
