I adopted Meadow from Carolyn Hillyer’s wild herd on Dartmoor and she came to us pregnant just as I became a single mother, so we supported each other through those early years as she birthed her foal Luna and I raised my children.
Then we adopted Tocho who was my Soulmate and still visits me in my dreams. It has taken this long for me to be able to visit him without being too sad that I had to re-home him.
We had the most beautiful, gentle, loving re-connection today, honouring all that we shared together, all that he gave to me and the children during an incredibly stressful period of our lives when Zac’s condition was still life-threatening and very challenging.
Looking back now, I know that our horses came to support us through that time in our lives. That the hours we spent in Mother Nature with them each day were what kept me sane and gave the children a deep sense of joy, freedom and healing to counter-balance the trauma they were experiencing.
We are so blessed that they were able to weave into Livvy Adam’s healing herd of horses and to work therapeutically with people in the way I always envisioned for them.
I can’t recommend Livvy, her not-for-profit organisation, PaintedHorse, and her healing herd of 11 horses more highly.
Livvy and the herd have years of experience in supporting people’s wellbeing through Equine ReWilding – helping individuals, families and small groups to heal through their connection with Nature, the horses and their own inner wildness. Please do message Livvy if you feel inspired to book a session.
With so much love and blessings from the herd
