Having returned to the UK from Thailand yesterday and now teaching the sixth weekend of my Rose Priestess of Sophia-Magdalene Training on the sacred Isle of Avalon, I can feel the strength of Athena as Goddess of Wisdom and War flowing through me.

She who wields the Sword of Truth, who challenges those who act from a place lacking in honesty, integrity, respect and humility. Those who seek to exploit Her for their own personal gain and ego gratification.

Hers is not a mirror to gaze into unless you have the courage to face your own shadow behaviour.

Do not be afraid. We all act from those hidden, shadow places. There is no need to feel ashamed or guilty. We are human and we all have wounds and fears that lead us to act in ways that are not beautiful, kind or respectful.

Inviting Athena into our lives is an opportunity to take an honest look at our own behaviour and use her Sword of Truth to cut away all the ways in which we may be acting from a place of wounded, fearful ego, so that our Wisewoman Warrior Self can stand more fully in her power and express her innate wisdom from a place of integrity.

Pray to Athena and ask her to show you how you can express your wisdom both artistically and actively in the world for the good of all.
