Ash Wednesday marks the start of a 40-day period of fasting and prayer leading up to Easter Sunday, alluding to Yeshua’s 40 days and 40 nights of wandering in the desert.

As an expert on the Rose Lineage and Venus Cycle, it is clear to me that this period of time is inspired by the 40 days that the planet Venus is retrograde in every 19 month cycle.

We see the period of 40 days or 40 years used throughout the bible, usually in relation to a time of challenge before a rebirth, just like in the Venus Cycle as her period of retrograde comes directly before her rebirth as the Morning Star:

“And the rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights” before Noah entered the ark.

Moses was on Mount Sinai to receive the 10 Commandments for 40 days and nights.

The Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years and their scouts went in search of the Promised Land for 40 days.

Yeshua remained on the earth for 40 days and 40 nights following his crucifixion and resurrection.

The following 40 days and nights therefore form the perfect period of time in which to practice fasting, praying and meditating on your life and values, in preparation for your rebirth through the resurrection rites of the Rose Lineage which the later Easter rites are based upon.

Ashes were traditionally used in the ancient cultures of the Rose Lineage to express grief, so this is also a time in which to release any grief or pain that may be preventing you from living your most empowered, joyful and abundant life.
