Stanton Drew Stone Circle

The Stone of Samhain lying in the NW of Stanton Drew Stone Circle where eight stones lie in the eight directions of the pagan wheel.

An ancient, sacred temple of our ancestors dating back to 3000 BCE and the third largest complex of prehistoric standing stones in England.

Standing in the centre of the Stone Circle, I opened the Wheel at Samhain, giving thanks for all that has come to pass during the year, and asking for the blessings of our ancestors on the coming year.
