The Rose and the Sword – symbols of two archetypal energies we are being asked to step into now.

The Rose of Venus is the original, cosmic symbol of Love through Her cycle of death and resurrection that leads ultimately to the Sacred Marriage within, and thus our ability to relate to others from a place of love and compassion rather than from wounding.

The Sword is the symbol of the Spiritual Warrior who learns through surviving the challenges of life how strong and courageous they are, qualities they can use for the good of all, especially those more vulnerable.

We all carry a Rose in our Heart and a Sword in our Hand.

We are all capable of acts of generosity, love and compassion, of courage, strength and heroism, however seemingly big or small.

And it is also OK if you’re feeling frightened and overwhelmed, and you don’t have the capacity to be there for others at the moment.

Let the strong support you. It is safe to ask for help. It is safe to receive love.

And to those of you who are feeling strong enough to reach out and help others, remember to fill your own cup first, otherwise you will not have the strength to keep serving.
